Me neither. The Qobuz search tab through Naim is terrible.
Much easier to search directly on the Qobuz app, save as a favorite, then it shows in the Naim app.
Just me anyway
This confuses me; it the voice is outside of the speakers on both sides, surely there is no placement. You’d surely expect the voice to be much more central, otherwise it’s just part of a wall of noise.
The track I’ve always found fun is Sunday Papers on Joe Jackson’s first album. Joe sings ‘if you want to hear about the gay politician’, which is followed by a ‘yeah’ way off to the left. I never understood how they did that.
A lot of course will depend on your speakers, their placement, and the room…
One I find uncanny is The ballad of Bill Hubbard from Amused to death by Roger Waters - the quiet spoken voice of Bill, a WW1 veteran recounting experiences, sounds as if he is sitting on the sofa next to me on my left. It gave me a start the first time , involuntarily looking to my left!
Yes great album. Three Wishes is the best showing this in my view. I am going to post a thread in the hifi thread regarding acoustic room set up, as doing it has made Bill Hubbard and the dog barking from 1n wide if the speaker to adjacent to me!
Yeah it’s always fun when they play with track channel phase in production. One of my favourites is One of My Turns on Pink Floyd’s The Wall, with the line, Oh wow, look at this tub? Do you wanna take a baaaath? - it really sounds like she is in your bathroom calling to you outside your listening room - a little disconcerting at first but fun
