Hi there,
I do have a paid subscription to Tidal family, and I noticed in the android app (even the last version), selecting Tidal entry is opening my browser for authentication but shows a Tidal error page:
Error
Something went wrong. Please try again. If the error persists, contact customer support.
I have:
cleared my cache but the problem seems to continue,
have changed the default browser from Brave to Chrome, but same issue,
I am not sure if this is the URL generated by the Naim App and sent in browser for Tidal Auth.
Has anyone having or has had this issue?
Thanks and have a nice weekend!
Eric
Try first to restart all, router, wait, then streamer.
If it doesn’t work, cancel the app and install it again.
Then if still not solved, change the Tidal password. Before, log out from Tidal on all your devices.
Merci buddy, so restart router and streamer did not solve in the past, nor reinstalling the app.
I guess I am good for the password change and at last, full device reset.
I suggest logout of Tidal on your Nova, log into Tidal from a PC or similar, change the password, then go back to your Nova using your new password to log into Tidal.
Hi David, this is what I did in the first place, excepted I cannot disconnect from the Naim mobile app.
I still can open on mobile Tidal and play on Naim device, but I cannot open the Tidal source directly from the Naim app without the error.
I will see if I can move the amp and test wired.
I really believe that the tidal source on the Naim app is trying to open a URL that is acting weird, but I am not sure why.
Yes I noticed this when setting up a new account to replace an older account… and I set to do Apple Sign in.
I cleared it by re logging in with my new account name on another device… and it all worked
I think the fault is with the a tidal app.
Yeah, I may contact them directly, since I am under a paying subscription.
I will keep this thread updated since I am sure some other users may have the issue.
hi soueric, i have the same prblem, I assumed it was an error when logging in with a Google account, then I deleted that account and created a new account.
And again I had the same error.
now you solved the problem?
greeting to all.
Hi @nachop. I have the issue with a dedicated Tidal account (not using Google, MS or Apple).
I will try to contact Tidal team and see what they advise.
Wired + Mobile App reset (clear cache + data) and same issue.
In the new application, there is a section in settings for:
Services & Accounts
When going to Tidal, the link to open the application is working fine (ever after log out/log in from the Tidal mobile app), but clicking on the TIDAL Login page is failing with the same error message.
This means that the issue is with the access to TIDAL login from the naim mobile app.
When I had the issue it applied to the Tidal App … as I was using Tidal Connect. I think it was some sort of caching issue with previous account authentication. I cleared it by logging into Tidal with another device, and then was ok on my previous errant device.
What you could try is deleting the Naim app, then reinstalling it. What this does is delete any odd bits of data associated with the app, which could include some corrupted Tidal login information. Then you can login to Tidal again from scratch, preferably having already paved the way as Simon described above.
What I feel is that when clicking the Tidal source from the naim app, this is going to reach Tidal with a URL loaded with many parameters, and I suspect something is not understood by Tidal page here:
