Uniti Atom can't see new router

Greetings everyone!
New to the forum but I’ve been a Naim owner for several years, first with a Uniti Qute and now with an Atom.

Had the Atom a couple of years now and has worked pretty well on wifi. I had to get a new router due to moving to fibre bb (TP-Link AX55pro).

Since installing the new router I cannot get the Atom to see the router! Everything else in the house works eg TV, Chromecast, laptop and phones.

I’m pretty near my wits end. I’ve unplugged the Atom restarted the router several times, think I’ve put the Atom back to factory settings (I say think because no message came up but the remote had to be resinked). Still when I try setup new device I get the spinning circle of horribleness, then after couple of minutes I get a message “No Naim products detected”.

There are no lights flashing or other messages.

Any advice would be a great help! I’ve tried to find other posts about this but not found anything relevant.

Thanks for reading.

Cheers John

You used the same ssid and password in the new router Wi-Fi configuration. And can you try to connect the Atom wired to see if that works?

As always with a question like this, details of firmware version - which will be a number not ‘latest’!
What phone are you using, + firmware version?

As Pieto suggests, you need to try the Atom with a wired connection - even if temporarily.
Important that both control point (phone) and Atom are on the same network and both using the same band, when using wifi.

Just because ‘everything else’ works is scant indication that all is well with your network setup.
There are a number of threads on this topic, so worth a full search. Inevitably, since Atom worked previously, that it will come down to your network. If you have the knowledge, try switching off the 5ghz on the router, if this is handling wifi. If you are uncertain as to how best to proceed, the post the IP address of each of Atom and your control point, since they both need to be on the same network.

Terribly frustrating!! Try turning off the router, deleting Naim app from your phone and unplugging the Atom. Then reboot your router. Next reload the Naim app on your phone/tablet. Finally, turn on your Atom and use the Naim app to find and connect to new Naim device. Are you using wired or wireless for the Atom?

Good luck!

I don’t know where that’s coming from, but if the WiFi access point is doing its job, this should really not be needed. (At least, when we talk simple setups, where all WiFi bands and the cabled LAN share the same IP network and are a single broadcast domain.)
Working perfectly fine for me, and I’ve separated them on purpose, actually.

What does the Atom state on the front display?
If it’s not connected to network, it should give an error icon for that.
It should then be possible ti use the remote and the display, to get it connected to WiFi.

Testing with a cable is a good idea; unless you’ve manually configured a static IP, the Atom should work in any “normal” home network via Ethernet without any configuration needs. (And swapping networks is as easy as plugging in to them.)

If it’s connected, but the devices don’t see each other, it’s a problem on a next layer.

Many thanks everyone for your help!

To get a cable to the Atom is really not a practical option, I could use a ethernet over power adaptor as a last resort.

The front panel shows only a WiFi icon with an apostrophe otherwise no message - see photo.

While trying to connect nothing happens on the front panel or the volume button - I had a memory that the volume button should pulse?

Having had the joy of a grandchild’s birthday party all afternoon I’m to tired do try anything tonight, but will try again tomorrow.

Again many thanks for the advice!

Cheers John

The Atom is disconnected from WiFi, correct. That’s the exclamation mark (as I decipher it) on the place, where the WiFi icon should be.
As long as that icon is active, the Atom will not show up on the network.

So, when you changed the router, either the SSID for the WiFi changed, the password changed, or the Atom ran into some other situation preventing it from connecting.

When you have the remote at hand, go to settings → network → WiFi setup (or similar, I have another language on the system).
From there it should be possible to connect the Atom, without any need to reset things, etc. pp.
(Not sure, if the wizard for setup via a phone will trigger; worst case there’s the tedious activity to enter the password for the WiFi via the remote…)

Success!!
Many many thanks to all of you for your help and advice which helped me sort the problem.

I’m embarrassed to admit it was a picnic - problem in chair not in computer.

Thank you!
