I’ve updated my 172 to the 4.9 firmware, powered down and on and Internet Radio says
Any ideas?
Maybe the answer is in this thread:
1st gen Uniti, BC SW 2D ??
Have you updated to the latest app, per the instructions, which also mandate deleting previous presets. Next step restart streamer and control point.
I have successfully updated my ND5XS but not so successfully the recent update of the app. It no longer shows + or - screen buttons for the volume despite adjusting the settings appropriately.
This is very annoying as I used this function often.
Yes, yes, and app is the version 7.3
Try swiping the app away then restart control point. If no improvement, then delete app and reinstall.
Try a factory reset and whilst waiting, search to bring up posts on how others have overcome similar issues.
Thanks but have already tried reinstalling the app without success. I thought others may have had the same problem. I hate it when it’s just me, feels like it’s my fault and probably is.
This has nothing to do with the App which doesn’t determine what the preamp sees. The same lack of radio is seen when you use the remote control or keypad on the front of the keypad. Basically I’ve just updated the firmware for no reason.
The reply was to @Darkside, who reported that the app wasn’t fully functioning!
On SU with same f’ware, selecting the streamer and then going to iRadio brought up the ability. to add stations. If that isn’t happening, the. power off everything including router, then restart one by one.
Always worth stating exactly which app. If using wifi, then worth moving the unit, temporarily to use wired connection to router. Appreciate the frustration, but plenty of us have updated legacy streamers without issue. It easy to skip a step inadvertently, done the same in the past and then the update doesn’t achieve functionality.
edit: it is also worth trying, if not already done, a factory reset
Unfortunately the app update happened at virtually the same time as I updated the f’ware so I have no idea which one has caused the problem. There is also the problem of living in New Zealand and the options for choosing a region during the f’ware update doesn’t include us or Aussie. It hasn’t been a problem on previous updates but I’m beginning to suspect it may be the problem now. All possible rebooting, restarting, resetting and gnashing of teeth while pulling out of hair has been meticulously carried out.
I do appreciate your ideas and suggestions @sound-hound thank you.
I would try re-applying the firmware update - that’s the advice I’ve had from Naim.
Same unsuccesful attempts and final behaviour for me too
As I’ve posted on another thread, if I were you I would have a chat with the Naim support help desk.
Sorted and IRadio now working. This is what I did…
Reinstalled the firmware but watched the status bar this time.
After finishing the first update, the streamer rebooted and upgrader said it couldn’t find the streamer - This is where I stopped the first time, however this time…
I let it search again and this time it found the streamer and it installed another update - this second update was much quicker. On completion (unlike the first time), the following screen was returned.
The streamer rebooted and the inputs reinitialised (this took some time).
Following this the iRadio input found and played the radion stations.
My tips:
I have the same problem. I updated an UQ2 and an Uniti 2 without problems but the UQ1 from a friend makes problems. We updated to 4.9, restored to 4.4, 4.6 and 4.8 and back to 4.9 but the iRadio is not working. We even tried the update with a PC!! After deleting all the presets it can not find any station.
Have a read of the updated last part of this post - it may help:
It’s probably not compatible.
What version uq is it, what is the “bc sw” version displayed within settings? Use the remote control, press spanner. If it doesn’t say “3D” then new iradio is not supported.
Did you get the Success box at the end?
The same issue with my NaimUniti. Also updated but no iRadio and no response from Naim support
