I love EBTG too especially their EDM stuff Walking Wounded is one of my favourite records. I just listened to the sampler track Nothing Left to Lose and though the music is really very good I did feel on this track at least that Tracey’s vocals had lost something though with age I suppose that’s not surprising.
The Tone Poet release schedule will be out tomorrow supposedly. Hopefully this will lead to some good pre orders for me.

If you had asked Tracy Thorn in 1980 when she was in the Marine Girls that she would still be in the music business in 2023 , I wonder what her reaction would be.
I always loved her vocals on "Plain Sailing ".

Dizzy Reece 
Her vocal on The Style Council’s Cafe Blue hooked me. I don’t mean to be critical her vocals on Massive Attacks 2nd record where just incredible and I suppose now she’s adapted them to suit her age.
Well…the Blue Spirits tone poet release date has just been marked in my agenda. Can’t wait!

Horace Parlan Quintet - Speakin’ My Piece, BN Classic Series (2023)
Horace was more of a sideman than a leader but he was a master at both I have a Japanese Blue Note 4000. series copy of this from the early '90’s so may wait until a used copy comes up but if you don’t own it already it’s well worth buying.

A bit off the usual track here, and in line with my 2023 resolution to support the smaller artist, my latest pre-order. Sadly I had to order from “Jeff’s Space Ship Fund” website but hey ho, what can you do.
Based on the early release single, another slice of mean Traditional Heavy Metal
‘The Rolling Stones in Mono’ is out next week.
Having watched this, I’m even more disappointed that Amazon hasn’t honoured the price advertised last year when several of us pre-ordered. It looks fabulous - and appears to sound fabulous too.

Tone Poet series will be at 93 titles by the end of the year. That’s just amazing. I remember when Joe Harley first started talking about them and none had been released yet.
April, 2024 will feature the 100th title. Maybe it will be something special. IDK
I have all but one title so far, and I’m in for all the 2023 titles.
