Hi all
I am big into Vocal Jazz and always looking for recommendations so would love to start a specific thread.
Many thanks.

Patricia Barber - I have a dozen of Patricia’s albums. She is a composer, songwriter, pianist, singer, and bandleader, she does it all and is outstanding in all aspects.
I can definitely recommend Jacintha and Holly Cole
Melody Gardot is a favourite of mine well worth a listen.
Yep, listen to all her stuff also!
Shooby Taylor – The king of avant-garde jazz.
Check out version 2. Some feel this is a better version.
Hence the avatar ?
Indeed an all time favourite.
Try Kurt Elling’s “Freddie’s yen for Jen” and you will be replete!
If not try Mark Murphy and the Metropole orchest “The Dream.”
Failing that, try Shirley Horn and her album “”Here’s to life.”
Dolmen Music is one of my all time favourites…just beautiful.
And we both Annette P!
Your record collection and mine should get together and have babies!
Erm…something like that
Well given that my current number of albums is just short of 14,000 we could populate a small planet.
Nice profile and Interview with Meredith Monk on Radio 3 last year.
Fourteen…thousand?
That’s probably the size of our flat…
My wife needs to meet you.
Then she’ll realise how small my record collection really is! Won’t need culling at all!
