For those that use https://naim.vtuner.com/, is it working ? I get: « safari can’t open the page because it couldn’t establish a secure connection to the server »
http://naim.vtuner.com works, https doesn’t.
That in itself is concerning as the data isn’t encrypted.
It works but latest added stations are missing meaning I guess that something has happened and earlier back up of database has been restored.
Edit. Or this is due to forwarding to the old address myradio.naimaudio.com
Even more worryingly, naim.vtuner.com forwards to myradio.naimaudio.com which also isn’t secure. Shocking in this day and age that both aren’t secure, but should be fairly trivial to address.
All OK on my ND555 working on my Muso apart from Hidef Radio see screen shot of the blank icon, when you press on it it just keeps searching ?
Looks kike the SSL certificate has expired or never had one.
Sounds very… professional.
I had a look earlier, they have a wild card cert.
*.vtuner.com
If you replace Naim with another of their customers https works.
I think the server went pop and it not been configured for https.
I-radio down again: 7.15pm Monday night UTC. I’ve switched the tuner off and disconnected the power cable, and then restarted - to no effect. Looks like Naim radios are built on quicksand. Any news from Naim HQ?
Just tried to add a station for the first time, it mentions http://naim.vtuner.com and using your MAC address.
You don’t see the above message using the older devices, hence never seeing it on my v1 mu-so but it’s there on my nsc-222.
Thanks for checking it. I can’t recall but i thought https was supported as I never open http sites, but haven’t added a radio for a while. That’s indeed concerning. Now it resolves to http://myradio.
Hope it’ll be addressed & https working again.
Happyly playing here in Denmark, and has been for the last 2 hours both on qb and 555.
It makes sense to me that people in different geographic locations may be interested to know that it’s a world-wide issue and not localised.
I think it depends on the product being used. I can still get all BBC stations using TuneIn on my Linn DSM. It may be necessary to set up an account with TuneIn first, which is a bit of a fiddle but it doesn’t cost anything and works OK. That said I prefer Airable and that’s what I mostly use.
Roger
Exactly, then we are agreed. Sorry I had inferred you were suggesting the opposite.
Hi Pete, Happy New Year!
I found that although that icon appears blank (I’m not sure what it used to look like), once I click on it, it opens a list of channels with coloured icons which play just fine.
I did notice that the name for BBC Radio 4 no longer quotes HD in the name, but it’s still AAC 48kHz 335bps.
Hi Clive, Happy New Year.
See screen shot when using my ND555 the icon is not blank and when pressed all stations are shown. I have deleted the app and reinstalled strange behaviour indeed.
I had a similar issue to this with my 222 last year and it was one of the link plugs. There was a bad batch apparently. Once replaced it worked perfectly. Maybe contact your dealer
Thank for your advice. My dealer has contacted Naim Netherlands about this, they said that it sometimes happened with the nsc 222 and that it could be a output relay.
I will also forward your message to them.
