On one of my Qobuz oldies playlists can’t believe how good some of this old stuff sounds.

Oh dear, bad luck. NDX2s are plagued with relay issues, and in the new Classic threads naim said the NC uses different relays which would be far more robust and output muting was done differently.

Hopefully a one off.

Not just different relays but a different circuit configuration. If I recall rightly the OC way was relays that connected the relevant socket to the signal path or earth, hence why it often works on RCA but not DIN or vice versa for example.

But in the NC the signal connections are always made and the “unwanted one” is earthed by a relay. So a failure of the relay would leave both RCA and DIN connected, not leave one without a signal. For a reed relay to fail in the on position seems quite unlikely.

Now getting about an hours worth of listening time before it stops and I have to cycle the power. I get the ‘tuning’ message on the display. So looks like it’s still being worked on…

iRadio has been working OK for the last few days, I suspect you have a local network problem.
Try a complete system power cycle including router, restart router first and wait until that’s completely finished before restarting the others.

thanks Mike. cycled the power on the router and the 172 and it seems to be working.

FWIW, I also disconnected my UQ1 that’s powering the 172 from the wireless network (forgot that it was still connected). Interference could have had something to do with it as well…They’re right next to each other.

Hidef radio is back on MUSO took a bit of time to repopulate but all working OK.

Any follow up or explanations from naim and vTuner on the cause for this long and ww outage?

And, more importantly, any clear customer information from naim how and what will be improved or changed to avoid outages best and reduce this „ vTuner premium 5* “ dependancy in the future?

Tx for update … (apologies if I have overseen any official follow up statements)

@Stevesky posted about the cause of the outage earlier in the thread.

As for Naim’s plans going forwards to ameliorate the impact of such events on customers in future, it will probably need a more thorough, in depth review and discussion at R&D and management level and also between Naim and Vtuner before any decisions are made and implemented.

Maybe just my Qb but all radio dropped out again around 9 U.K. this morning. Reboot and found stations again.
Maybe just my Qb?

HTTPS is back but it bumps you out fast, sigh. I recommend to anyone who uses that site to change their password to a random generated one, just in case something was compromised.

yes I curiously tried to use vTuner last night and many spinning wheels - and that was after a reboot… clearly all is not right still.
I think it is prudent as you say if you have a password to their site - change it - and as always definitely don’t share it with any other service… the whole thing smells as if they have suffered a significant compromise…

Agree and if so both vtuner and naim should communicate such.

Down again .

Back again for me bbc r6 (Mu so g1) I went to vtuner directly to test but recorded message saying not available .

I’m in the UK and listening to 9128 for the last few hours and it is rock solid and still going now. I dare not change channels now😂

It’s working fine for me in the U.K. on a Qb.

I’ve had Radio Paradise on all morning and there are no problems. (UK)

Same here in DE. RP on now with no issues.

I tried to reset my password on naim vtuner now and got this. I’m very worried passwords have been compromised in this mess. Can @Richard.Dane confirmed this is not the case and also, how shall I reset my password when it’s not working.
