This. A record and band that I pull out at intervals and remember how much I enjoyed them then and now.
That must sound peculiar!
I’m trying hard to imagine the sheer weight and mystique of Mozart’s Requiem reduced down to just 4 strings… (?)
Now Playing…
Simin Tander - Where Water Travels Home
Simin Tander (voice), Jereon Van Vliet (piano, electronics) Cord Heineking (double bass), Etienne Nillesen (drums), Alex Simu (clarinet on track 7) and Niti Ranian Biswas (tabla on track 8).
Streaming on TIDAL… Reaching the noon hour and taking the beautiful voice of Simin Tander out for a spin with her wonderful quartet and guest musicians. Sounding fantastic and one sweet album!
Great choice but the vinyl ain’t shabby!

Wooden Shjips - Volume 1 [2008]
Wonderful heavy fuzzy feedback, the 'Shjips doing their 60s/70s west coast psychedelic acid rock thing really well. Just my opinion but this compilation album may well have been the early idea for the creation of Moon Duo.
MTV New York I am there, well second best option with my Naim kit
I couldn’t afford his cardigan though
Love the cover art, Philip Guston is one of my favourite painters. I traveled to the States just to see his work.
