What are you listening to and WHY might anyone be interested?

I’ve been checking his catalogue out too, Dead Bees on a Cake is a knockout album, I hadn’t heard it before. You might also like this, Rain Tree Crow, which is one of his other ventures with ex Japan members; its good stuff…

+1 on Rain Tree Crow.

Sylvian’s first solo album, Brilliant Trees, is also excellent, if only for the song Nostalgia.

Evening Tony, you may recall that a week or so ago I said I would be attending a record fair and I said I would look out for some Blues Magoo.Well I had “Psychedelic Lollipop” in my hands, but the £30 asking price was a bit too rich.I suppose hoping to spot one for a tenner was a bit of a stretch.Ah well, there’s always the next time.

I listened to this earlier today. Such a good album. I’ve not looked into his other albums yet, but will definitely be doing so.

You should look into Amos Lee’s other albums, all belters IMHO, no duffers. Consistently high quality output, a rare thing these days.

I fully intend to Nigel. I’m surprised I hadn’t come across him before, given my musical tastes, but it’s nice to make new discoveries from time to time.

A regular favourite of mine, Mark-Almond Group, Night music. Smooth late nite listening at its best. Streaming on Tidal.

Yes Neil, Amos’ music is right up my street (as you may have guessed from me banging on so much about him on here).

He has several albums released and clearly he has been around for a while. I too am therefore baffled as to why I have not come across his work before. As you say, I get a real buzz from new discoveries.
