I’m worried about Bob. The magnificent Murder Most Foul sounds an awful lot like a valediction.

He recorded it some time ago I think, pretty sure that’s what his announcement said. I hope it’s what he said, a gift to his fans in this trying time.

A band i would have liked to see live. Have a lot of their albums from a LONG time ago!

With somewhat ‘topical’ lyrics such as:

"I see a bad moon a-rising
I see trouble on the way
I see earth quakes and lightnin’
I see bad times today

Don’t go 'round tonight
It’s bound and take your life
There’s a bad moon on the rise
I hear hurricanes a-blowing

I know the end is coming soon
I fear rivers over flowing
I hear the voice of rage and ruin
Don’t go 'round tonight

It’s bound and take your life
There’s a bad moon on the rise
Hope you got your things together
Hope you are quit prepared to die

Look’s like we’re in for nasty weather
One eye is taken for an eye
Don’t go 'round tonight
It’s bound and take your life
There’s a bad moon on the rise
"
I think i will play some tonite…

Yes I know what you mean. The first time I heard it I was overcome with emotion for that reason. Even though it was recorded a while ago it still had a feeling of farewell. 79 next month I think.

Snarky Puppy - Ground Up - 2012 Art of Groove / German CD + DVD / MIG 80162

Recorded and filmed live, free of overdubs, 14/15/16 December 2011 in Brooklyn, New York.

First play since adding the XPSDR (last year) and sounds so much better than I remember it!
