Released a couple of months back on Naim records, a great, angular jazz record from a Croat drummer and a French pianist.

Bob Dylan’s new one arrived today and it’s excellent in my view. I’m not surprised though - I think he’s been on a roll since Time Out Of Mind. Actually, Oh Mercy wasn’t too bad either.

Bob Dylan - Rough and Rowdy Ways

Streaming on Qobuz (96/24)… taking out this new Bob Dylan release out for a second spin. I played it four days ago and enjoyed the tunes, so nothing like letting an album grow on you…

Just saved this and a number of other bits of Vinyl from heading to a charity shop. Friend doing a house clearance. This is a half speed master. Other records also by Eric Gale, Bob James, Lee Ritenour plus others, all look like new.

I wasn’t sure what I felt like playing and a quick flick through the library stopped here with one of Scotland’s finest, the Average White Band’s AWB album from 1974.

Young Team [1997]
Staying in Scotland with my favourite rock band from here, Mogwai. This, their debut is such a very good album, it may well be categorised as post-rock but ticks all the good boxes for me.

A great ECM date with Terje Rypdal, Palle Mikkleborg and Jon Christensen. The opening track Avskjed is worth the price of admission alone. Released in 1980 - Descendre

Bruce Hornsby. Halcyon days. Quite liked Bruce in the late 80s but left it there. Apologies but I can’t remember who recommended this (identify yourself):slightly_smiling_face: Anyway this is a second play and really enjoying it. Incidentally Darling be home soon is my favourite Lovin Spoonful song.
