Me too, somewhere in Bristol. Possibly the place opposite the Old Duke, the name of which escapes me at the moment. Brilliant, high energy band.

Saw them at Reading festival (on before Wishbone Ash and The Kinks on the Sunday) and they were a brilliant live band

Phil Lynott was born on this day in 1949

Oddly he was also born in West Bromwich, the same Black Country town as Robert Plant, both born on 20th August but Phil exactly one year the later.
Phil Lynott would have been 72 today. He died aged 36 on Christmas day in 1985
