After a few have mentioned this, finally got around to having a listen. Quite enjoyable with a few nice guitar riffs! A 1980’s rock feel to this.
Jools Holland - Jack O The Green.
Pink Floyd - The Dark Side of the Moon, 2011 Immersion Box Set
Because after two weeks on the road (on holiday, no complaints), we are finally back home.
This is the CD with Money on acoustic guitar!
I always find Blackstar rather heartbreaking to listen to (for obvious reasons) but, still, it’s brilliant. In the Top Five of Bowie albums, I reckon. On vinyl, bought the day it came out.
The Police - Zenyatta Mondatta, lovely sound quality on this early cd.
Real Estate - The Main Thing

Indie pop.
Tchaikovsky Symphony no. 6, ‘Pathetique’ - Music Aeterna / Teodor Currentzis
I saw this posted by @Stephen_C on the classical thread. I’m not sure if this is exciting, shocking, refreshing or horrifying. It’s probably a mix of all of these, but so far I’m thoroughly enjoying it. I’ll have to see how it compares with Gergiev’s version for shock value, but I think this trounces it. If you like this piece, you’ve got to try it out. It’s certainly different to any previous version I’ve heard.
In celebration of getting tickets to see them next July in London. One of my bucket list bands crossed off.
It was about half way through the second movement that I decided it was all too much. I managed to listen to it all, but I think I’ll revert to Karajan.
Margriet Sjoerdsma, Favourite Songs, in this case Broken Wings of Mr Mister.
In between rugs so apologies for the rascal that’s actually acoustically a winner, if not in the style stakes.
Think the soundstage has lost some depth since the mutt exited stage left….
Beth Orton - Central Reservation, love this album, timeless.
