Eivor is from the Faroe Islands. A very well recorded live album, about half sung in English and half in (I think) Icelandic. Unusual , hypnotic and atmospheric. Well worth a listen.

Chick Corea - Return to Forever

Chick Corea (Electric Piano), Joe Farrell (Flutes, Soprano Saxophone), Flora Purim (Vocals, Percussion), Stan Clarke (Electric Bass, Double-Bass) and Airto Moreira (Drums, Percussion).

Streaming on Qobuz (96/24)… kicking off this Monday morning with a trip back in the way back machine to 1971 and taking Chick and his quintet out for a spin and they are sounding sublime! …one very fine album.

I haven’t listened to her fine voice in too many years and as it’s the albums’ 50th anniversary it would be rude not to…
