Occasionally I give the excellent 1982 album Fiction by The Comsat Angels a spin. For reasons unknown to me their albums are not available on Tidal or Qobuz, which is really a shame as their work deserves to be heard while instead the band now seems almost forgotten. When I listen to modern day bands such as The Editors I cannot help but think they must have listened to the Comsat Angels. Any other members here who like The Comsat Angels?
David Sanborn + Sting Sister Moon
Not necessarily my song of the day, so posting this fine performance here.
Just one of the best Dusty albums ever.
Right up there with In Memphis imo…maybe even better. I think it is.
It’s just wonderful
Followed by the righteous Jah 9 Note To Self - woooee, what an album!
I have a Comsat 45 somewhere… I’ll have to dig it out!

Ese got delayed by this mob (one of the few bands who could):
And, yonks after buying, I finally noticed this little note inside. I used to like visiting Recommended.
John Meyer - Paradise Valley.
I liked them, and even saw them in 1980. On Tidal, the only album is Lost Sessions Vol 1 (2018), which you’ve inspired me to play.
[I looked again. Vol. 2 is also available on Tidal in the U.S.]
Lights out lying on your bed type of music… btdt
Hi Andy, many thanks for your response which is intriguing because both Tidal and Qobuz present only those two Lost Sessions albums to me. Makes me wonder what else is shown to some subscribers but not to others. Presumably this has to do with geographic ip rights…
First, some Eric.
It’s old, mono and not amazingly well-recorded.
But it’s brilliant.
Then…Madam:
Still KILLER
Still one of my favourite first albums of all time.
And only about 28 hours before the gig!
