It’s interesting how an evenings listening can develop…
This arrived yesterday:

Loved it. Great musicians and quirky to boot. the contrast between the playing and the downbeat lyrics was striking, which led me to:


Again, downbeat lyrics and vocal style.
I fancied a change so played this next:

and then I realised the lyrics to songs such as Wicked Game and Blue Hotel are also downbeat…
I did think of playing something completely different to break the mood, such as ‘Here Come The Fleas’ by White Noise…but didn’t get round to it.
