This is a great album. We saw the band play it live a couple of years ago - Seim is a big man with a huge woolly beard and we were in the front row with no stage, so he was about ten feet in front of us. A great experience.

Feeling in a bluesy mood, this hits the spot. Great sounding record too

It’s a 2LP set - one is for soprano sax and pipe organ, the other pure piano. I’m playing the latter.

Invocations/The Moth and The Flame - Keith Jarrett

Some of its meditative, some of it dazzling.

On vinyl. One of my all-time favourite Blue Note albums:

Tea for the Tillerman Disc 2 of a five disc set.
This disc is the 2020 remix versions and has been remastered with superb SQ and presence.

Disc 5 contains live versions of the songs off Tea for the Tillerman and is also spot on.

Well Ronnie is probably a bit of an acquired taste…but some lovely George Harrison guitar and also co - writer, though his management kept him off the credits.

On vinyl, a wonderful live album from the great British jazz guitarist, accompanied by Dave Holland, the late Ron Matthewson, Alan Rushton, Peter Lemer and Ron Fry:
