Another testament to those 60s producers. Sounds fresh, vivid and has real presence and life.
And Aretha gives it her all, of course. Great album.
US Atlantic original release.
Thanks @anon23112058 - I must play my copy again. Haven’t in years! All I remember is Tinseltown…
Mick Jagger - Primitive Cool.
I’ve just returned from Emsworth’s record shop, Harbour Records, with this.
F.S. Blumm & Nils Frahm. I’d never heard of Blumm but bought it on chance. Absolutely brilliant, dub with electronics.
I’ve no idea why the picture is rotated. It’s a portrait photo but when uploaded it’s turned through 90°. I’ve asked Richard to take a look. A picture I posted yesterday was turned upside down. Most odd.

@anon4489532 if you use Apple products I have that. I get around it by editing the picture and rotating it 90 degrees, saving it and then going in again and rotating it back to correct orientation. It is a bit convoluted but works for me.
Thanks. It’s an iPhone 12. I posted a picture yesterday and one the day before. Both were turned upside down. It’s quite infuriating.
When you view the image on your phone, is it in the correct orientation?
