Pink Floyd - Wish You Were Here. My fav PF album, although The Wall runs it close. Bought from the used racks in Cob Records in 1985 for the extortionate sum of £3.35, and still sounds excellent.
George Faith - Super Eight
Soulful Dub indeed. Liking what I am hearing so far. Cheers @Dreadatthecontrols.
There both different versions of the same album, To Be A Lover is the better one with better sound imo but not so readily available on streaming.
Ah, missee your post above, I see your already on the case
Yes, I could only find Super Eight on Qobuz.
Bruce Springsteen - Western Stars
Never really appreciated BS, but I really like this departure from his usual stuff. Seems he’s returned to type though.
My goodness, 2003, how time flies by! I bought it when it was first released and I haven’t listened to it in ages, I must put it on. Thanks @anon23112058

Limit to your love to test your driver units to the max.
Spent many happy hours at Cob records. Partly because it was always raining.
CD - EMI 2001 : )

Happy 90th Birthday Sofia Gubaidulina!
born on 34th October 1931 in Chistopol, Tatar Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic.
(Since 1992, Gubaidulina has lived in Hamburg, Germany. She is a member of the musical academies in Frankfurt, Hamburg and the Royal Swedish Academy of Music)
Suzanne Vega - Solitude Standing. Tom’s Diner still amazing - almost a Rockwell painting in a song. Fabulous track and album.
Now yer talking, man.
Just back from ‘Get up, stand up’. Yes it’s a jukebox musical and yes some of the exposition between songs is a a bit clunky, but oh my word the live band and the lead actors/singers are just phenomenal. Second act is amazing and very moving. Complete euphoria in the audience. Highly recommended
Just fancied a bit of “Child In Time”. Classic.
Bob Dylan - Tempest.
