What are you listening to in 2021 and why might anyone be interested

Haven’t been on this thread for a while. This is yet another artist brought to my attention by the wonderful Radio Paradise. A real gem this. His voice very reminiscent of David Gray. This is a 192/24 recording and sounds like it. Recommended.

The Bierkeller is alas no more, and bristol is still a musical desert unable to attract top artists due to the lack of a large enough venue - no difference from 40 years ago then!

Yes, that’s true to some extent, but the Hippodrome is still there, of course, and the Colston Hall, albeit by some stupid new name. The Forum in Bath is another medium sized venue, which attracted Steve Hackett in 2019. I’m not so keen on very large indoor venues because the sound is usually pretty dreadful.

The Colston Hall is now the beacon. Another good venue just up the road is chetenham town hall. Saw Rick Wakeman there a couple of years ago.
