Joining @Debs in celebrating Aston “Familyman” Barrett..

As well as bassist and musical director of Bob Marley & The Wailers (and appalingly treated by the Marley estate since, but that’s another story)
Aston had his own FAMS label for his own productions and very well worth checking out.

I can highly recommend seeking out these two volumes from Heartbeat Records on CD
Cobra Style & Familyman In Dub

Dubstore Japan also released a compilation Soul Constitution but imo the above are better.
Edit: Soul Constituition can also be found on Qobuz in “HiRes”

Pleased to see that Qobuz have streams of some of the singles, probably sourced from the Dubstore Japan re issues, just a few examples below there are more if you search Qobuz, maybe Tidal too

13th Floor Elevators. Psychedelic sounds of.
This is more like it. I think it was @Steve_S who reminded me of this 60s band.

Scientist - Dub From The Ghetto.

And now for something completely different ^^^^^

Scientist, having been mentored by King Tubby, just couldn’t go wrong, and this collection of his best choons from Ras Records is Jamaican dub at it’s finest.

Quite enjoying this, good musicianship as you would expect, more than a hint of jazz about this. Title of the album is ‘Dig’ which is far from clear on the image.

Dave Evans, Duck Baker, Dan Ar Braz - Irish Reels, Jigs, Airs, and Hornpipes - WAV CD rip
Irish trad tunes played on guitar by 3 great finger pickers, a few numbers from each. Great technique used to bring out the rhythm and the soul of the music. A new album to me, part of my exploration of Dave Evans, and another stonking set of folk music.
