The Beatles - Love. CD rip. Part of me loves this as it’s The Beatles, but the other part is thinking don’t mess with perfection, but then again I never saw the show and heard it in context. Think I’ll stick to the studio albums.
Know exactly what you mean.Saw the show in Vegas, absolutely amazing, bought the cd,and it’s not quite the same, nothing can beat the studio albums.
After posting Ayreon as a suggestion in the Beyong Nightwish thread thought I’d better put my ears where my mouth was
Ayreon - The Source (2017)
Chronologically a later album but is the prequel to this
Ayreon - 01011001 (2008)
01011001 being the binary representation of the ASCII character “Y”.
Planet Y being part of the story arc
In total 34 singer over the 2 albums! All of them (lead) singers in their own successful bands and talented in their own right.
Mt 1st Ayreon just fell through my letterbox.
O… M… G… Thank You so much, for recommending this…!!
I am only 5 or 6 tracks into CD1… Fabulous.
Need. More. Ayreon.
The Beatles - 1. CD rip. After Love, this is much better! @Lorro1 i gave up on the Love album when I got to Strawberry Fields.
New CTA live album is a belter.
I seem to remember him doing a lyric which was something like “Chinese wrestlers jockstrap cooked in chip fat on a greasy day “
He also sang ‘Have a cigar’
on this.
Wet Tuna - Eau’d To a Fake Bookie Vol 1 & 2.
500 copy vinyl release on Mindhive Records.
Cover versions of Jimmy Cliff THTC, Pentangle, Gerry Garcia but not as you know them.
Rather good.
Ben Harper - Winter is for Lovers.
Just Ben and a lap-steel guitar, playing some hugely evocative choons.
Such a relaxing listen, this is an out and out belter!
