Grant Green - Matador (Music Matters/Blue Note)

I’m lucky to have a complete set of the MM33 series and this is a firm favourite.
Grant Green with basically Coltranes band from the period, McCoy Tyner, Elvin Jones and Bob Cranshaw.
Green even has the front to cover My Favourite Things and pulls it off in fine style.
Typically top notch sound from Music Matters, pity these are now the subject of greedy asking prices.

An absolute blinder!

(That’s not a scuffed sleeve btw, it has such a beautiful gloss to the sleeve, reflects the flash)

LP - Warner Bros 1972 : )

Toulouse Street is the second studio album by American rock band The Doobie Brothers. The album was released on July 1, 1972, by Warner Bros. Records. It was their first album with new bassist Tiran Porter and second drummer Michael Hossack to augment existing drummer John Hartman, so it meant that they now had their trademark twin-drummer sound

Tom Johnston – vocals, acoustic and electric guitars
Patrick Simmons – vocals, acoustic and electric guitars, banjo on “Listen to the Music”
Tiran Porter – backing vocals, bass
John (Little John) Hartman – drums, percussion
Michael Hossack – drums, steel drums on “Listen to the Music”

(Plus addition session personnel)

Recordings from Warner Bros. Studios, North Hollywood
and Wally Heider Studios, San Francisco. 1972
