What are you listening to in 2021 and why might anyone be interested

Yes Alan, I think 12 bars deserves to be in my library. So Eric qualifies as that cliche, soundtrack to my life.

Released last week, Alessandrini’s third album of solo Bach harpsichord works. Very good it is too.

One of those go back to again and again albums. Oddly I can’t imagine a gig of theirs.

Michael Stanley Band “Heartland” (1980) The next four EMI releases for MSB were essentialy the most successful for the band. With strong songwriting and vocals from both Michael and Kevin Raleigh, and the addition of Ric Bell on saxaphone and the two keyboard sound, they received much more airplay and headlined for bands such as Foreigner and REO Speedwagon. They set some attendance records at Ohio venues that stand to this day, including a four-night outoor sequence at Blossom Music Center with crowds totaling 74,000 for the run.

Hi @Graeme - Livin’ Inside Your Love is an album I prefer over GB’s following and hugely successful release Give Me The Night as I wasn’t a huge fan of the title track - though Star Of The Story on that is superb. Also, on LIYL the instrumentals and Love Ballad bring back some wonderful memories.

Well that’s weird, I have just chosen a George Benson album to put on in the background only to find it is his birthday

This Is Jazz #9, a mostly instrumental album.
