Marillion - Early Stages Official Bootlegs 1982-1987 Hammersmith Odeon 14th December 1984 - 16/44 WAV download
I went to see Marillion a lot in the ‘80s, a good mate of mine was a major fan and I really like their classy prog-rock, especially for me the Fish-led lineups. I suspect I was at this gig, it was a few days after my birthday and we’d have seen them on this tour, it’s just half a dozen tracks, but great memories and really enjoyable music, excellent prog, slightly odd SQ, 5 tracks are excellent for a live recording, track 2 seems a bit recessed to me, maybe they had issues and that’s why only 6 tracks are on the set.
It’s from the box-set of official boots from ‘82-‘87, I’ve split it into gigs, downloaded from Junodownload. They seem to price all albums (uncompressed) at £12.99, so searching for “box set” (with the quotation marks) can bring up some bargains.
Croz | 2014
This is a lovely gentle album from David Crosby who (for me) found his mojo again on this one with his voice well in tact. Good stuff.
Lauryn Hill - Unplugged.
Beautifully recorded and produced acoustic album… perfect vibe for a Sunday evening and can highly recommend this for those that have enjoyed other examples from the unplugged series.

Genesis - Archives 1967-1975 Disc 3 - WAV CD rip
Genesis live in 1973 (and some studio rarities) with tracks from Selling England plus Supper’s Ready from Foxtrot, for me prog at its peak, great songs, one of the great vocalists, Banks on keyboards and Hackett on guitar, wonderful music. If the stars line up this year I’ll see Hackett’s Genesis Revisited band at the Cropredy Festival, that’s always a great gig whether at a festival or in a theatre .
John Lee Hooker - Boom Boom.
Maneige, Ni vent… ni nouvelle. 1977 Polydor LP.
Maneige was a prog rock / fusion jazz ensemble that enjoyed recognition and (relative) international fame with jazz aficionados in the 70’s. The list of instruments played by group members and their guests in impressive, from electric guitars to woods and winds, with more exotic instruments like taboukas, cancerros and tubular bells thrown in for good measure.
But what really made the group interesting to listen to were the catchy airs and the amazing percussion effects throughout. I never used that LP for system testing or demo, but I certainly could.

Streaming on Qobuz (44.1/16)… continuing on this afternoon with the very fine voice of Cara and the talented group of musicians working with her and they are sounding sublime! …one beautiful album.
Great write up. Thanks for sharing. Had to listen after your write up.
Thanks Claude, a band I’ve never heard, I’m off to bed after my next album, but I’ll have a listen on Tidal/Qobuz tomorrow, they sound fascinating.
This is an exceptional album and getting great reviews too. Hard to categorise it other than to say it’s beautiful music making somewhere between electronica, jazz and classical.

David Bowie - Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars - 2016 vinyl reissue
One of the great rock albums, superb songs, great production, Bowie’s vocals are amazing, superb band, and Ronno’s guitar work is basically another lead vocal. From the ominous lead in to 5 Years through to the last note it’s a masterpiece of rock.
