Nancy Sinatra. Start walkin.
Listening on lo fi streaming because the deluxe cd I pre ordered in January has failed to arrive. Big let down from big river
After all that dangerously mellow Chet, time to blow the cobwebs away with a bloody great din from the 'orrible 'Oo. Triple vinyl issued in 1997.
Now playing…
Lonely Dear - A Lantern and a Bell
Streaming on Qobuz (44.1/24)… a mention somewhere on the forum of this album had me place this in the queue and now taking out for a spin and the opening track is sounding interesting. Looking forward to the rest of the album…
Try Juno, much better
Mumford & Sons - Delta tour
Very good live album. I think Mumford & Sons are fairly mainstream in the UK but not so much heard of here in Italy.
Will have a look but in fairness I think it was the supplier to blame. Even rough trade have no copies.
You’re too kind sir
Try Juno anyway. An independent online music retailer, usually cheaper than the river and elsewhere, great customer service and reliability, my orders always arrive next day. I’ve been using them for many years

Marvin Gaye died on this day in 1984
Gaye intervened in a fight between his parents on the afternoon of April 1, 1984, in the family house in the West Adams district of Los Angeles, and he became involved in a physical altercation with his father, Marvin Gay Sr. who shot Gaye twice, once in the chest, piercing his heart, and then into Gaye’s shoulder. The shooting took place in Gaye’s bedroom at 12:38 p.m. The first shot proved fatal. Gaye was pronounced dead at 1:01 p.m. after his body arrived at California Hospital Medical Centre, one day short of his 45th birthday.
After Gaye’s funeral, his body was cremated at Forest Lawn Memorial Park at the Hollywood Hills; his ashes were scattered into the Pacific Ocean. Gaye Sr. was initially charged with first degree murder, but the charges were reduced to voluntary manslaughter following a diagnosis of a brain tumour. He was given a suspended six-year sentence and probation. He died at a nursing home in 1998.
