Re:Ex regarding ex by Elena Tonra, written after a tough breakup.
Dinosaur Jr Swept It Into Space. Saw these guys about 18 years ago in Sydney, possibly one of the worst gigs I’ve ever had the misfortune to be at. This is their first about in a long time so far sounds much better than I was expecting.
I played How We Operate the other day great album and great band but they just seemed to disappear about 10 years ago. Heard they struggled as some members lived in the US and others in the UK. Lucky enough to see them in a small venue years back in Sydney.
Browsing through the regular Friday music stalls at Spitalfields Market back in the day. I happened upon this little gem of a jazz funky groovy album.

Recommend her 2nd album to its very good.
Listened to several albums with beautiful backing acoustic guitar today. Feel like listening to the master - Nils Lofgren acoustic live. Keith don’t go!
Best commute in ages
Ese And The Vooduu People Up In Smoke on my new Astell & Kern DAP/Senn IE8.
The over-bassiness of the 8s works perfectly in the tube.
UIS is simply a modern classic - everything about it shines, from the interplay of Ese’s dusky, intimate voice with Sheena’s glorious soar; the gutsy guitar, the nippy little cymbals perking around on the right channel, bass thundering through, diamond clear production…
And even after listening to this album a few hundred times, that segue into reggae still makes me grin ear to ear.
All this on only 320mp3. Can’t wait to load up the FLAC!
Starting my 11 & a half hour day happy!
