On albums like this the artist/label much make arrangements to coordinate different artists to drop by the studios while they are coming through town while touring. No idea if that is how it works but putting that many artists on an album must be a scheduling achievement for some lucky individual who has the job to make it happen.

Listening to some Live Miles first up is

Miles Davis in Person Friday & Saturday Nights at the Blackhawk, San Francisco

This the double LP and is an original Columbia six eye which even with the odd pop and crackle sounds beautiful. Recorded in 1961.

I picked this U.S pressing up for about £10 and it’s an excellent job released in 2013 Lacquers cut at Cohearant Audio, pressed at RTI it’s dead flat and dead quiet .
