Jimbo Mathus & Andrew Bird – These 13
CD|2021
Are we allowed repeats? Posted this yesterday but just gets better
This has a bit of everything Jazz, Soul, Blues, Funk, Gospel…
Donny Hathaway - Everything Is Everything (Speakers Corner)
Lovely sound and pressing (Mastered by Kevin Gray pressed at Pallas)
Listened to this one a few times now and enjoy it.
It was pointed out in another forum that the photograph used for the album cover does not do her any justices…
I did not get it until I saw your cover upload today and woops yes things do seem a little wrong.
Total change of direction -
Matt Berry - The Blue elephant
Sounds reminiscent of the late Sixties psychedelia.
Coldplay - “Ghost Stories” (2014)
Fleet Foxes. Crack up.
Now playing…
Talking Heads - Stop Making Sense (Special New Edition)
David Byrne (Vocals, Guitar), Tina Weymouth (Bass, Vocals), Chris Frantz (Drums, Vocals), Jerry Harrison (Guitar, Keyboards, Vocals), lex Weir (Guitar, Vocals), Bernie Worrell (Keyboards), Steve Scales (Percussion), Ednah Holt (Vocals), and Lynn Mabry (Vocals).
Streaming on Qobuz (44.1/16)… continuing on into the noon hour with this 1999 release and the music is sounding mighty fine!
Eleanor Friedberger - “Last Summer” (2011)
The Steel Woods
All of Your Stones - Very much like Lynard Skynard and worth a listen.
RIP Jason Cope
Listening again to this excellent new record from Paul Weller.
My black copy is dead flat has some slight crackles on the run in but there after is very quiet there are no scratches or nasties on any of the tracks on either side.
If I’m being hyper critical then there is some very slight sibilants here and there but this is on my copy and on my equipment.
I’m using a Rega P8 with an Audio Technica VM760 SL.
As is usual when it comes to audio trust only your own ears on your own equipment.
