Listened to this one a few times now and enjoy it.
It was pointed out in another forum that the photograph used for the album cover does not do her any justices…
I did not get it until I saw your cover upload today and woops yes things do seem a little wrong.

Listening again to this excellent new record from Paul Weller.
My black copy is dead flat has some slight crackles on the run in but there after is very quiet there are no scratches or nasties on any of the tracks on either side.
If I’m being hyper critical then there is some very slight sibilants here and there but this is on my copy and on my equipment.
I’m using a Rega P8 with an Audio Technica VM760 SL.
As is usual when it comes to audio trust only your own ears on your own equipment.
