Ah, I didn’t know that Dread…cheers!
After an hours cookin got a Soul Kitchen earworm so time for some Lizard King Live - Absolutely! On slightly iffy Elektra vinyl.
Lee Ritenour. Rit/2. Vinyl. It was amongst a number of LPs I saved from a skip a couple of years ago. Very 1982. Some usual suspects on it, Nathan East, Jeff Porcaro, Greg Philinganes etc. Well played, pleasant, but a bit drippy to be honest. imho.
This from the 2013 vinyl box set.
Dark Days EP - Yard Act
Contains one of the most erudite and funny takedowns of a certain type of idiot on the track, Fixer Upper.
Disco 4 - Pet Shop Boys
aka music for sub woofers.
Mixes by PSB of Yoko, The Killers, Rammstein, Bowie, Madonna, Atomizer and two of their own. Brilliant throughout. Esp the mix of Yoko’s Walking On Thin Ice.
Antonio Forcione & Sabina Sciubba -Meet Me In London
Gosh! I haven’t played this in ages and certainly not since a few audio upgrades. It is sounding very stylish and very real.
Lyle Lovett: Joshua Judges Ruth. love Lyle Lovett. vinyl,
It’s not particularly uncommon, this Best Of Otis Redding (WEA/Atlantic 1972) for example has the order of tracks pressed across alternate sides 1/3 2/4.
You can see how it would make it easier for a DJ/Radio presenter back in pre digital days with two turntables to present a documentary on an artist with records pressed in this way.
Side 1 on deck one mix across to deck two for side two, repeat for sides 3 & 4
Miles Davis - Kind Of Blue (Classic Records/Columbia 2LP 1995)
I dunno, some bloke I’ve never heard of with his trumpet!
I also agree. Just wished they’d re-press Rain Dogs on vinyl!
