I had not heard of Cecile McLorin Salvant before. A US singer until I read the latest Jazzwise magazine. For many of the contributors this is their album of 2022 which is why I gave it a listen. Superb.

Dr. Feelgood - Malpractice.

Still on a Feelgoods / Wilko trip, Chez Dave, and a reminder from @YetiZone is all it took to give this one another spin … … … LOUD, of course.

Born Francesco Battiato (Ionia, 23 March 1945 - Milo, 18 May 2021), was an Italian singer-songwriter, composer, writer, director, painter and politician. A tribute to a great songwriter.

Wilko Johnson / Roger Daltrey - Going Back Home.

A joint effort by two of The Home Counties’ finest R & B merchants.

Wilko’s “farewell” album, except, of course, that it wasn’t, thank goodness, and he kept it going right up until the end.

I was chuffed to get to see him with both Norman and Dylan at Leeds Uni. in 2018 … … … what a night, and which brought back so many memories of seeing him in the 70s in the London pub live music scene.

Ta very much for all the choons, geezer.

Santana - Festival, not their best, but still a decent listen.
