David Bowie - Lodger, the recent remastered version, which sounds very good but not quite as punchy as my first pressing. Perhaps considered the weakest of the three, but really, it’s just as good as the preceding two. What a fine body of work these three albums are, right in the middle of The Dame’s career.
Whilst much is written about the ‘trilogy’ (only Heroes being recorded in Berlin) I think the ‘true’ trilogy was ‘The Idiot’, ‘Low’ & ‘Heroes’.
Whilst known as an Iggy album, in reality it was Bowie’s dry run for Low (which in turn was the dry run for Heroes). I love Lodger but think the Idiot fits better.
Lovely album - recorded in 1959
I do love his later years albums mid 70’s until 1988 (when he died)
