Thanks. Funnily enough I played that album immediately after the Bruford one.

Scott Fagan - South Atlantic Blues

From 1968, one of those lost gems. Sounding like early Bowie / Word on a Wing vocals or Tindersticks.

Auditioned for Apple Records but James Taylor got the gig and Scott Fagan faded into obscurity.

Some good McLaughlin from the 70s…
Larry Young too. Almost Lifetime, but not quite without Tony.

Lee Morgan - The Rumproller

Following the exchange with @Bobthebuilder on the new vinyl thread I chose to play this (CD rip), which I think is better than I recall. Maybe it needs more extended listening?

Jackie McLean - Destination… Out!

I am REALLY enjoying this. Some superb, angular melodies (three of the four titles were composed by Grachan Moncur III, which probably explains that).

I have the CD of it too Clive, never really rated this one beyond the title track. Not played it in a while though so probably worth re visiting.

Some old jazz funk…
First press, still going strong - never put the poster up, should frame it I guess.

Little North are a new discovery to me thanks to the Qobuz algorithm. They are a Danish Jazz Trio and there is certainly some scandi/EST esq vibes going on but they also have a distinctive sound too with the addition of some new instruments such as guitar on some tracks. Very enjoyable.
