Nice debut, well produced by another great bassist in Nathan East. I think this ensured some decent help for the young lady.
I have her album ‘Nothing but the Water’ in my collection - can’t remember what prompted me to buy it - once I could have told you why, where and when but nowadays……

Delightful album that I hadn’t heard before. The track, ‘Love Is a Mystery’ has a lovely interplay of piano and strings.

Yes, I think Jackie was a keen poetry fan and some of his songs include poetry or seem to be inspired by poetry. His solo music always seemed to be filed in record shops in the folk section, but I’m not sure that does full justice to his range of music.
