Broekhuis, Keller @ Schönwälder | Drei | 2000
These boys in whatever combination they choose to get together make fine Berlin School music. This recorded live gig is ambient and great to chill with.
Emmanuelle Guigues - viola da gamba
Silvia Abramowicz - viola da gamba
Bruno Procopio - harpsichord
Rémi Cassaigne - théorbe, guitare baroque
Recoded at Chaumont-en-Vexin, France in October 2009
Paul McCartney & Wings - Band On The Run.
Love this live Gary Numan. I think it’s the start when they go into Airlane with live drumming, brilliant.
I love SACDs, and this is probably my favourite SACDs of all the ones I own. The sound on this Analogue Productions disc is awesome - so chunky and blows the vinyl away. PF knew what they were doing, and James Guthrie is one of the best engineers in the business.
And no crackles.
Indeed! Although I was lucky with my vinyl copy, it was crackle/pop-free.
‘Sign O The Times’ – Prince
On peach vinyl. ‘U Got the Look’ jumping out of the speakers this evening.
Ah, the wonderful Sheena Easton.
‘A Hard Day’s Night’ - The Beatles
Love side 2 on this LP - the tracks that weren’t in the movie. As good as those which were.
BTW, did anyone else see Norman ‘Nobby’ Pilcher’s obituary in The Times this week?
Is that not just an article on Pilcher, I seemed to remember he died a few years ago?
