Yes - Tyler features on at least one of his albums, I believe.
Scorpions - In Trance - 1975
Still a fan of 70’s Scorps, surely one of the longest running rock outfits?, formed in 1965
Its a bit Brahms third racket! And that bloody violin! 5 tracks in and I’m getting ready to bail out
I seem to have missed this one. Released in March of this year…
Pop Evil - Skeletons
A favourite band of both Mrs QS & I.
First few tracks sounding absolutely brilliant
Spectrum Road - 2012
Nice fusion paying homage to The Tony Williams Lifetime. Not heard much Vernon Reid on guitar before, must look him up, he can certainly play a bit.
Found this in our collection of LPs. ( note the use of the word “our”)
It’s very good if you like this genre. It’s quite enjoyable.
‘We’ also own that one
Otis Redding and Carla Thomas. King and Queen.
This is so good. On Qobuz Hi res.
Tramp? What you call me?
Mahavishnu Orchestra – Between Nothingness & Eternity - 1973
I guess it’s happy 50th! Recorded in Central Park, NYC on the 18th August 1973.
By coincidence, that’s also on my turntable at the moment. Sounding great and, with additional tracks, what’s not to like?
I often find ‘Deluxe Edition’; ‘Anthology’ & ‘Archive’ releases full of a lot of stuff that was never meant for release and is being released years later, often after the demise of the band/artist, to milk the fan.
That being said, Joni has sanctioned these ‘Archive’ releases herself so I’ll give them a listen, as they are available on Qobuz. They may join the CD collection in the future, but I’m certainly not paying £££’s for them on record.
