You have got to be joking. One of the all time classic albums.
Just one of several albums. Many others but enjoying and moved by music too much to paste the images.
All sounding sublime tonight. Just amazing .!
Oh wait…………it could be the wine and the sunset
That might be helping but seriously loving the music tonight .
Isaac Hayes - Hot Buttered Soul - 1969
Gosh
My gateway drug to Dylan was Bringing It All Back Home when I were a lad in 1971. I permanently borrowed a copy from the golf club where I was a salad chef/dishwasher. I played it to death – and still have it. But Highway 61 & BOB are my favourites, by some distance.
Yes, I recently watched the Rolling Thunder Revue Scorsese film on that period.
You is ‘avin a laugh, aintcha?
Maybe with a touch of Blood on the Tracks.
Let’s not forget his best album Planet Waves.
Good combo:
Bob Dylan - Planet Waves
or Moonglow (cast-iron songs and torch ballads).
Overshadowed by Blood on the Tracks. But here Dylan is backed by The Band - Robbie Robertson’s guitar work on Going, going, gone is some of his best playing.
Vocally Dylan is at the top of his game and the songs are at least on a par with Blood on the Tracks.
Plus it was released on Island Records in the UK.
Remastered version.
Vinyl is on its way. Will be 3rd pressing, the others being
- Original release
- EMI Millennium Series 180g Pressing
In the meantime this MQA 24/44.1 sounds excellent.
