Andrea Motis & Joan Chamorro Quintet with Scott Hamilton. Live at Jamboree, Barcelona.
Stevie Ray Vaughan’s playing on this album is magnificent his tone is crystal clear on those inspired solos. When it came to lead guitarists Bowie had the knack for picking the best.
Thought I would get to see him on the Serious Moonlight Tour in 1984 but he had a falling out with Bowie and Earl Slick stepped in - but there again I thought I would see Earl Slick on the 1976 but he had a falling out with Bowie and the brilliant Stacy Heydon stepped in.
What you lose on the swings you gain on the roundabouts. Plus Carlos Alomar was on both those tours.
David Bowie - Let’s Dance
The Serious Moonlight tour was brilliant got to see it in Sydney at the SCG. Was pretty close to the front the stage before it started there was a huge crowd surge and before the end of his first track I was somewhere up the back.
Eddie Reader - Angels & Electricity.
Such a treat to have seen The Dame, not sure I have ever seen anyone so relaxed on stage, his banter was just brilliant. That was on the later Sound+Vision tour.
Lemon Jelly - '64-'95 - 2005
CD rip
I struggled with this album when it was released, but over the years it’s become an easier listen. So inventive when the rest of the dance scene was becoming a cheese-fest.
Now playing…

Streaming on Qobuz (192/24)… returning from an event on aging and creativity at the University of Washington I noticed that @Neil-26 had taken Elvis’s ‘King of America’ out for a spin and thought I would join him, and Elvis and the band are sounding sweet!
Recommended by others here and a fab record. On regular rotation.

Stanley Clarke, Marcus Miller and Victor Wooten.
Its morning - I’m at work (home office ) and need to let go of some stress…
Couldn’t think of a band more suitable…
Warming up with the Lips, prior to going out to collect more records (VMP Dead, and another Dark Side, last but one - hopefully in great nick).
Flaming Lips always fill me with optimism!
