What are you listening to in 2023 and why might anyone be interested?

Camel - Rain Dances

According to the Naim App, this is my most frequently played Camel album, closely followed by the first disc from the live album. Funnily enough, I would have expected it to have been Moonmadness, although I also have that on vinyl, which wouldn’t be recorded in the app, of course.

I have the first press, what does the Deluxe bring to the party?

I have been listening to the Qobuz standard version since release and it’s fantastic. So I treated my self to the Deluxe vinyl, sound quality so far is superb. But this is my first listen to the Deluxe Edition and I’m only on side B, so I can’t answer at the moment. The photo shows what’s on the album, and if c & d are anything like a & b it will be money well spent.

Branko Mataja - Over Fields and Mountains.

Great shout for this distinctly “different” album from one of the early experimenters in overdubbed and tape delay sounds, shades of Les Paul.

The original first edition is a single vinyl. Be interested on what you make of the extra “deluxe” material

I’m half way through side D and so far the extras are certainly worth having, why Woman wasn’t on the original album I’ll never understand.

Some Mike from 1975 adding that je ne sais quoi to Friday’s playlist.

I’m not sure I’ve got that one! Which concert is it? Where and when was it recorded?
Thanks.
