As ever I just want to hear more of her wonderful voice and it’s fitting with my feelings right now.
I think I’ll join you whilst cooking dinner. Brilliant voice and great songwriter.

Star Trek: Picard – Season 1 (Original Series Soundtrack)
Just finished watching the first episode of Star Trek Picard season three, as a huge Star Trek fan I love all the music from all films and series.
First time listening to the full album.

If your referring to Bob Marley And The Wailers, Lee Scratch Perry had already released his recordings under that title, as did Johnny Nash & Danny Sims JAD label. Chris Blackwell released the Island Records debut Catch A Fire as BM&W then reverted to The Wailers for Burnin’, thereafter after Peter & Bunny got fed up with Blackwell and left all subsequent Island releases sans Peter & Bunny (replaced by The I-Threes) were released as BM&W.
Record producer and label shenanigans over the years trying to promote Bob as leader of The Wailers was a cause of friction which contributed to the eventual split with Bunny & Peter going solo.
Far be it from me to quibble with your expertise in all matters reggae, Dread, but… My copy of Catch A Fire with the original Zippo sleeve is definitely (I just checked) credited to The Wailers. When Island changed the cover to the big spliff version, it was then credited to BM&W.
listening to this as well.
The Bowie or the Iggy mix?
I’d have to dig it out to 100% confirm, but yes, my Zippo cover is The Wailers too IIRC.
Yes You’re right to corect me, it was the later editions. My point though was to point out that the use of BM&W had already been used by producers/labels in an attempt to put focus on Bob Marley. Perhaps in an attempt to redress the ire of Peter & Bunny, Blackwell allowed the group to be properly credited as The Wailers and to not meddle with the recordings, I prefer Burnin’ for that reason it sounds more authentic.
After Peter & Bunny left, the subsequent albums as I said were credited to BM&W and Blackwell then had the cheek to re-credit Catch A Fire.
No wonder Peter & Bunny didnt like and distrusted Blackwell or as Peter dubbed him “Whiteworse”
Now playing…

Btw @bhoyo I’m truly flattered that you suggest I’m an expert, far from it (as my schoolboy error re CAF shows) I have friends and aquaintances far more knowledgeable than me, including Esther Anderson who was in a “relationship” with Bob at the time of Burnin’ and its her photos that grace the inside gatefold and claims to have contributed songwriting to the album.
The problem with a genre like Jamaican Music is that there was until quite recently very little in the way of formal history, no record contracts, copyright etc etc the history is very much an oral one riddled with dispute, contention and contradiction.
I’m not an expert I just have a passion for the music but thanks for that sentiment.
I’m probably in the minority but I like Iggy’s
