What are you listening to in 2023 and why might anyone be interested?

I have just listened to Composer of the Week on BBC Radio 3, which this week is devoted to Richard Wagner. Consequently I’ve just fired up the LP12 (first time in ages!) to listen to this album of orchestral highlights from the Ring cycle.

The new Iggy mix is totally different from the Legacy mix essentially there are three mixes all sounding quite different.

  1. Bowie original mix
  2. Iggy Legacy mix
  3. Iggy mix remastered 2023

Camel - Breathless

Since the LP12 is spinning, I may as well play one of my favourite Camel albums. This one has Richard Sinclair (formerly Caravan and Hatfield) on bass and vocals.

Great seeing her again, playing guitar at the BAFTAS. What a talented lady.

This post reminded me to buy a copy of the Solti Tannhauser, which I have just found and purchased on Discogs, so thank you for the memory jog @Clive :+1:t3:

These two got a lot of play on my first Sony CD player which put a big dent in my student grant at the time. Worth every penny :grinning:

King Crimson " Red ". My favorite KC formation with favorite album ! Three artists at their best. Can you imagine, Bill Bruford has been drumming for Yes, King Crimson, Genesis and UK amongst other. One of the best rock drummer of all time ! John Wetton great voice with KC, UK and ASIA. No need to add comments about Robert Fripp, a legend !
