There are very few albums of any genres that I’d class as timeless. One immediately thinks of the likes of Kind of Blue, Sgt Pepper, Blood on the Tracks, or Led Zeppelin IV etc.
Often over looked but arguably almost timeless and as important or influential is this………

The songs and musicianship are imho almost as fresh now as back in 1967.

The Velvet Underground and Nico ……
All that separates this from the totally timeless is a couple of lesser tracks

Er…lesser tracks?
Almost as timeless…?!

Come now, sir…I whiffle my glove in your general direction.
Pistols or swords?

Absolutely no idea why I put this on earlier. One of the features of streaming I suppose is facilitating impulsive decisions and so here we are:

And having been listening I wonder how I ever took ELO for granted back in the day, or how they slipped off the radar. This sounds like such a great gig! And yes, you could sing along

Agreed - I saw the concert on TV. To paraphrase Victor Kiam, I was so impressed I bought the album.

‘Telephone Line’ is magnificent - a classic, but also the recent track, ‘When I was a Boy.’
