#1 was so good, decided to go for #2 to finish my afternoon before having to go cook dinner…
I also had a first full listen to the live version. Overall I have the feeling that’s a more engaging experience than the studio album, while still not deviating so much of the studio version. So recommended…
I binge listened to everything Future Sound Of London I could find on Qobuz the other month, awesome stuff. I don’t have any of their output on “real” media, something I might fix as I loved the odd thing of theirs I caught in my youth, and I do like having stuff cluttering up the place X)

Great duo album.
Lovely recording that captures the delight of the audience at the 1989 Montreal Jazz Festival.
When I bought my first Naim system in 2004 the shop (Oranges & Lemons) gave me a free copy of a Charlie Haden record, as he was then on the Naim label.
The subtlety and touch of these players on that day in that space is captivating.

Phil France - Circle
Streaming on Qobuz (44.1/24)… after returning from a fun morning with my wife and friends at breakfast, I am now kicking off the day with this fine album from Phil France which helps continue the nice relaxing and joyful mood! One lovely album…
I agree Andy I’ve been using bandcamp for years with about 650 downloads but it always annoys me that 95% of the time you don’t know what resolution you are getting. Very poor from an otherwise great music platform for buyers and bands.
I really think they are missing a trick here.
Most of their Hi Res stuff ( when you find out it is Hi Res) is considerably cheaper than the rest of the market.

Scott Mathews - Elsewhere
Scott Matthews (Bass, E-Bow, Guitar, Mandolin, Hammond Organ, Vocals), Lizzie Ball (Violin), Nick Benz (French Horn), Ray Butcher (Trumpet), Mark Davis (Tuba), Madeleine Easton (Violin), Craig Johnson (Bass Guitar), Danny Keane (Cello), Oliver Langford (Viola), Sam Martin (Percussion), Darren Matthews (Piano), Gavin Monaghan (Analogue Synthesizer, Theremin), Robert Plant (Vocals), Richard Shrewsbury (Trombone) and Mat Taylor (Flute).
Streaming on Qobuz (44.1/16)… continuing on this morning with an album I placed in the queue a couple of days ago and now taking out for a spin… and Scott along with the talented musicians working with him are sounding mighty sweet!

An original version of this was in our alt.RSD today, not too expensive, but bought within first ten minutes, along with a few other choice items I left to chance and the whims of once a year only store visitors.
The boss did give us first pick of most items but you can’t have everything. . . unless it’s White Albums et al!
