What are you listening to in 2024 and why might anyone be interested?

Inspired by @ted_p I fancied something from Gary Moore in his self-despised rock persona

Saw him live when this was released my first ‘rock’ concert opened with acoustic guitar only ‘Victims of the Future’ then all hell let loose…

Was reading an interview with Jeff “skunk” Baxter of Dan And Doobies……he really likes this guys vocals….nothing wrong there.
Thought i would give him a spin……not for me.

Placebo - Ball of Eyes (1971). Not the 90s indie rockers, but Belgian jazz maestro Marc Moulin’s fusion band from the early seventies. Opens with a great version of Marvin Gaye’s Inner City Blues. Lot of good stuff happening in Belgium in the Seventies.

Having seen the acoustic version last night it’s the full band country techno schtick with oodles of brass. Alabama 3 Cold War Classics Vol 2 Tidalised. Magnifique!

How was the acoustic set @BlueCanary? Seeing that in September.

Lot of fun - mix of covers and originals (no tecno beats obvs). Made a lot of sound with so little instrumentation. See my pic in the gigs thread
