What are you listening to in 2024 and why might anyone be interested?

Great choice Alan
I saw Alvin about 7 years ago on Worthing Pier on an extermely foggy night
A hall which held about 150 people.Table and chairs for your drinks from the bar.
Just him and a guitar and lots of stories between songs
He was great.Thoroughly enjoyed the gig and a great memory

You can’t beat an intimate gig, and AYH seems to be the perfect artist for such an event. It’s fantastic when all a singer needs is their sole instrument.

I still love that backdrop you have there, too!

I should also get a copy of Thriller. I remember having the album in cassette tape as a copy. Probably not nowhere near as good as what you’re playing! Cheers!

Late night session for me, was a busy day, so something relaxing to unwind.

Porcupine Tree - Recordings

Not their most well known, as it is sort of an EP / B-Sides production. Still, the opener is already enough to warrant a buy, in my opinion. Such a great little record!

Oh, my James Eadie isn’t in shot, but can assure you it’s there. Killed the bottle with this glass.

Thanks @Boekster - one of the revelatory tracks is ‘The Girl is Mine’ - never a favourite of mine at the time but the bass is deep and restrained on my (basic) vinyl reissue that it really elevates the song. Absolutely love it.

Listened to loads of stuff Fleetwood Mac, CCR and all, and I like it, in my top 10, but settled on this.
Brilliant, and very vibrant, I feel alive!
