Buqqer!
What sad news, I hadn’t realised. I love his music, he was just a wonderful, wonderful musician. It’s ok to write bugger, by the way.
Wes Montgomery - In Paris: The Definitive ORTF Recording
2CD|2017
Performed March 27, 1965 at the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées.
Robin Denslow’s eloquent obit in the Graun.
Blimey, that’s scary. I remember seeing him play on Colwyn Bay pier, just a few years later.
Dire Straits - Alchemy, listening to the version from last years live box set. A noticably different mix, with the drums toned down somewhat.
It does make you wonder where the times gone, its interesting thinking back when you see albums you own, where you bought them and what was going on in your life back then.
I only get to listen to this when my wife is out. First time I’ve listened to it via my Atom and it sounds great.
Echos of the Future - Near Earth Orbit… one of the odder bands i’ve caught live… big brother style projected head singing the vocals and lots of jawa/monk robed individuals scuttling around the stage beneath playing instruments. Nice cocktails after on the banks of the Rhine so not a complete loss
Always think that’s one of ‘the’ great album titles.
