Talking of Duke, BBC4 broadcast some very good Ellington footage (and some good Armstrong too) in that ‘In Their Own Words’ show tonight. Typical of the BBC to do a ‘jazz night’ when everyone is glued to the Olympic Opening Ceremony on the other channel !
