Max Richter - The New Four Seasons Vivaldi Recomposed - CD (2022)
Sitting in the garden listening to Augustus Pablo on Spotify. I actually bought the LP in c1979.
I was 21 then: now I am “of pensionable age”…
Having a very lazy start this Sunday morning.
Thought I’d go for a second play of this very laid back release…
Sun House: Crazy On The Weekend
One of my desert island discs
Pete Townshend Ronnie Lane - Rough Mix, deluxe edition, remastered with bonus tracks.
Del Amitri - Can You Do Me Good?, a change in sound, as the band experiment with programmed loops and beats
Great album - Duane Allman was a huge fan of King Curtis.
Alison Moyet - 1987 - Raindancing - Label - CBS - OG Vinyl.
This is Alison’s second solo album. It featured the singles “Is This Love?” “ Weak in the Presence of Beauty” “Ordinary Girl” & “Sleep Like Breathing”.
Played after reading an interesting interview with Alison in this mornings Sunday Times(Culture) supplement. Production very much of its time! But what a voice.
Well a calm and quiet Sunday doesn’t seem to have lasted long into the afternoon…
Foreigner: 4
One of Mrs Q’s favourite albums from back in the day.
After listening to Reptile i decided to play this album, recorded on the tour that was in support of said album
Eric Clapton - One More Car, One More Rider, I caught this tour at Manchester, with the added bonus of seeing the renowned percussionist Paulinho da Costa, as part of EC’s band.
A splendid choice. It reveals more layers the more you play it.
