Arthur Lee died on this day in 2006

After several months of treatment for leukaemia, to include chemotherapy and an experimental stem cell transplant using stem cells from an umbilical cord blood donor. Despite treatment, his condition continued to worsen, and he died from complications of leukaemia in Memphis, Tennessee, on August 3, 2006, at the age of 61.

This and Burnt Weeny are two of my favourite Zappa albums. Lowell George being involved of course leads to bias. I’m inclined towards early rather than late Zappa tbf. Trying the Qobuz Hi Res. It’s very good.
